Celebrating 34 Years of Service, Friendship & Sisterhood!
On 24 October 2026, Soroptimist International Club of Bangsar (SICB) celebrated its 34th Anniversary with a meaningful gathering filled with friendship, shared purpose and cherished memories.
We were honoured to welcome Puan Sri Siew Yong Gnanalingam, Immediate Past President of Soroptimist International, and Rebecca Lai, President of SIROM, who joined us in celebrating this special milestone.
The celebration featured an inspiring address by SICB President Agnes Tan, reflecting on our journey and continued commitment to empowering women and girls. We also welcomed Daisy Lee into our SICB family through a special new member induction.
In keeping with our spirit of service, SICB was delighted to contribute a deep fryer to DIB, a social enterprise restaurant that provides employment opportunities, to support its daily operations.
One of the memorable moments was learning from the DIB team how to sing Happy Birthday using sign language — a lovely reminder that connection, inclusion and friendship go beyond words.
As we look ahead, may SICB continue to create opportunities, strengthen friendships and make a meaningful difference in the lives of women, girls and our wider community.
