SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP DAY
On 3rd October 2020, SI Club of Bangsar (Malaysia) organized a virtual Friendship Tea to celebrate Soroptimist International Friendship Day with members of their Australian Friendship Link clubs: SI Adelaide,SI Helena, SI Sydney and SI Torrens via zoom.
28 Soroptimists including a potential member from SI Sydney joined the afternoon tea. SI Bangsar members introduced the guests to Malaysian tea- time delicacies and displayed popular local cakes on screen. This led to an interesting discussion on the multiracial culture of Malaysia.
It was wonderful to learn about each club and the inspiring projects they do. Members shared the current challenges they face and how they overcome these challenges to reach and serve the community during the pandemic times.
It was an enjoyable get together session of sharing, a great way to interact during these times of social distancing.
